Born in Lectoure April 10, 1769 – Died in Ebersdorf May 31, 1809

Nicknamed the “Achilles of the Great Army”.

 

Probably one of the best marshals of the 1st Empire. He played a decisive role during the 18 Brumaire. In spite of his violent and violent character, the Emperor appreciated him.
