Description
Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher, Prince of Wahlstatt, was a Prussian general and field marshal who commanded the Prussian army against Napoleon I at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.
He was one of the first to enter France during the French campaign of 1814. He fought at Brienne where Napoleon defeated him but was victorious at La Rothière and Laon, two battles which had a powerful influence on the fate of the campaign, and was rewarded by being made Prince of Wahlstatt.
