Description

The Lithuanian Tartars were Muslim fighters grouped in a light cavalry unit of the Imperial Guard, created by Napoleon I and having served in the French army from 1812 to 1814.
Due to their small numbers, Tartar cavalrymen often fought in larger regiments, such as the 1st Polish Lancers Regiment of the Imperial Guard.
