Description
General Jean RAPP
Born in Colmar on April 27, 1771 – Died in Rheinweiler on November 8, 1821
Rapp had several opportunities to save the emperor’s life, most notably at Schönbrunn on October 12, 1809, where he prevented the young Frederick Staps from assassinating Napoleon.
“Major General Count Rapp had a horse killed under him; the intrepidity of which this general gave so much evidence is shown on every occasion.”
